Not too long ago I hit up my sister and had her try the Exposed Acne skin care line. She was dealing with some stress breakouts and wanted quick results.
She wasn’t exactly a fan of Exposed, so when Zenmed Acne line sent me some samples of their line she was hesitant. After a little convincing she decided to give it a try and give us her ZenMed review. After all, who doesn’t love free samples!
Zenmed offers several product lines and acne is just one of them.
For over 10 years this company has been manufacturing high quality products and they back them up with a 60 day money back guarantee.
What is Zenmed?
The Zenmed Derma Cleanse line for acne is created with ingredients to tackle acne for the long run. They use alpha and beta hydroxy acids to gently exfoliate skin.
Regular exfoliation keeps pores clear and prevents acne from forming. It also helps restore your skin from previous acne damage.
Not everyone’s skin is the same and Zenmed has taken this into consideration when creating their lines. You can customize your acne care by choosing between combination skin, oily or dry/mature skin.
My sister chose the combination skin acne treatment line. This particular line balances out oily skin, while still moisturizing it. For those with combination skin, you likely suffer from an oily T-zone, enlarged pores and mild acne, and my sister was no exception.
How It Tackles Your Issues
Zenmed acne’s formulas tackle each individual skin type issues. For combination skin, the line employs AHA/BHA’s to balance out your skin’s pH. These acids also gently exfoliate your skin to slough away acne-causing clogs.
Included in this line is a Facial Cleansing Gel to be used in the morning and evening, an AHA/BHA complex for post-cleanse toning, Sebum Regulating Moisturizer that manages clogged pores and greasy skin and finally, the Derma Cleanse Acne Gel for spot treatment.
What is really great is that all of Zenmed’s products are free from parabens, petrochemicals, sulfur, synthetic dyes and animal ingredients.
As if that weren’t awesome enough, the company has chosen to be environmentally friendly by opting to use recycled materials to create their packaging and cut down on any unnecessary packing containers; hence their motto “Creating Products with Conscience.”
My Sister’s ZenMed Review
Like I said earlier, my sister was hesitant to try this product because she had a bad experience with Exposed Skin Care. Not only did the last product cause more acne to form, but her skin felt raw and abused.
Only 2 or 3 days into her Zenmed review, she sent me a text saying how much she loved the product. Here’s the gist of what she said about each product:
It wasn’t a harsh exfoliating cleanser, rather a gentle, light consistency that left you feeling clean, but not dry.
Cool and refreshing. So many toners contain high levels of salicylic acid and other harsh ingredients they leave your skin looking and feeling dry.
This AHA/BHA combo felt light and refreshing and didn’t suck all the moisture from your skin.
Moisturizing acne-covered skin is a big misconception. Many people opt not to because they fear it will only exacerbate the issue.
The reality is, your skin needs to maintain a healthy level of moisture and the right moisturizer is imperative.
My sister liked this moisturizer because it didn’t feel greasy or heavy, didn’t leave her skin looking oily and perfectly hydrated her skin.
Definitely not an item she would rub all over her skin, but great for spot treatment. This extra oomph of acne-fighting product really kicked those pimples ass.
Honestly, my sister’s skin has never looked better. Her skin tone is even, her acne is all but gone and overall, her skin looks brighter and clearer. She’s definitely a fan of Zenmed now!
