Well today we’re going to review a product that is revolutionizing the world of wrinkle treatment, using 24K gold to instantly reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Or so they say!
The product we’re talking about is Youthful Gold and whose marketing team promises to almost instantaneously flatten out stubborn fine lines and wrinkles – through the incorporation of a small amount of 24K gold, combined with silica particles.
Now this is one of those products that needs a serious looking into, so we’re going to delve deeper into the effects of its primary ingredients so as to show you how they actually work.
How Does Youthful Gold Work?
That’s a damn good question! We understand that it’s easy for brands to throw around wacky ideas like adding gold to a mixture, so as to help create a bit of a buying buzz, but let’s actually find out if gold and silica have the ability to treat wrinkles.
Gold As A Wrinkle Treatment
Skin treatment using gold is not a new thing. In fact this metal has been used throughout history to treat a whole range of skin conditions, including reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and other aging factors.
When we’re talking about gold, we’re not talking about applying a fine powder or anything like that, but instead Youthful Gold uses it in a liquid form called colloidal gold. There are 3 main properties associated with this type of gold for skin care:
- It acts as an antioxidant helping to strengthen capillaries affected by free radicals that can lead to unhealthy skin and therefore the after effects, ie. wrinkles and fine lines.
- Collagen rejuvenation is also something closely associated to the application of gold particles on your skin. By increasing the production of collagen in your skin, you can theoretically improve its overall density. Simple answer – more skin = less wrinkles.
- Skin cell rejuvenation is the final property it contains, mainly due to the added production of collagen, a vital ingredient in the manufacturing of new skin cells.
So who is one seriously well known person to have used gold as a skin treatment in the past? Umm how about Cleopatra! That’s right, have you ever seen pictures of Cleopatra with gold painted on her face? Well it’s well known that she and many other Kings and Queens throughout history used gold as a way of clearing any unwanted blemishes that would make them seem older and less “godlike”.
The Benefits Of Silica Particles
First of all, what are silica particles? They’re basically really, really tiny particles made of silicon dioxide, also known as quartz. Now silica is known for its hardness and therefore its purpose in this case is to grind down dead skin cells, which are otherwise preventing your skin from appearing as it should.
A build up of dead skin cells inside your epidermis is a major contributing factor associated with the development of wrinkles. Therefore removing these cells from your skin can result in a flatter, more youthful-looking surface.
Why It’s HOT!
If you would like to have some sort of gold treatment done on your skin, you’re usually looking at having to pay A LOT of money at one of the few spas that actually offer this as a service. In that case, you may have to pay anywhere from $200-$2000 depending on the spa.
We’re telling you now, most of these gold treatments at spa’s tend to be waaaaay overpriced and only offer results around about the same as what you would get from using a product like Youthful Gold, which is priced at just $19.99
Don’t be fooled, the type of gold used in this treatment, is not expensive.
In fact, $19.99 is a fair and reasonable price and nobody should pay any more then that amount in our opinion. The second reason why we think this product is hot is because it’s so NEW.
There’s literally a tiny number of brands employing gold and silica into their products and the reality is, we don’t know why! After testing it out, this is one of the best instantaneous wrinkle reducers we have ever tried and we really mean that.
Why It’s NOT!
Although it does offer amazingly fast results, don’t expect to see any benefits over the long term. As a spot treatment, don’t get us wrong, it’s really great, but using it over the long term isn’t likely to lead to any major changes.
It also dries your skin out a little which is kinda annoying. What we would suggest is to apply a moisturizer directly after application of Youthful Gold so as to counteract its dehydration properties. Better yet, use something like argan oil, which is a non greasy oil that can quickly replenish any lost moisture quickly and naturally.
Gold in a product, what will they think of next? Well we actually liked this wrinkle cream and the results it offered.
It’s kinda strange watching it work, as it first turns white before you’re required to wash it off. Plus it dries out your skin a little, but that’s easily rectified with a little moisturizer after use.
Overall Youthful Gold is a really great, fast and effective wrinkle reducer, which I’m sure you’ll love.
