Carrie Underwood is no stranger to beautiful skin. She’s now the official Face of Olay, which led her to her most recent press release, urging her young fans to listen to Mom’s advice when it comes to skincare.
She said to People Magazine in a brief interview, “If I could go back and talk to my 15-year-old self I’d be like, ‘Seriously, listen to your mom.”
She then went on to add that she wished she did more for her skin growing up like; drank more water, used sunscreen more regularly as well as an effective moisturizer such as organic line, Pai Skincare .
Carrie’s spot on, if there’s anyone worth listening to when it comes to keeping your skin looking healthy, it’s your mom!
Did you know that during our younger years, like many other parts of our body, our skin is still developing? By keeping our skin moisturized and free from sun damage, we’re increasing our chances of keeping our skin young and healthy during our adult years.
In fact a recent study has determined that infant skin contain significantly lower amounts of natural moisturizing factor (NMF), which makes it harder for our skin to develop new cells and essentially grow. As we progress into our early childhood, the changes start to take effect, but ever so gradually until we are fully matured as adults.
Adequate hydration, can help ensure the full development of our skin and prevent future problems later in life.
So what have we learnt from this?
