When it comes to ingredients, it’s clear that Revitol have made an attempt to cut costs as the misfortune of their customers. Most of the ingredients they use tend to focus mainly on supplying your skin with moisture, but have very few properties associated with treating under eye issues.
Sure moisture is important for skin to be able to function properly, but it certainly cannot resolve stubborn problems like wrinkles and dark circles. The funny thing is, most products make an attempt to explain how each product in their cream works on their website, whereas Revitol just list them out with no explanation. We’re assuming they don’t want you to know that they have no effect on under eye problems.
Here’s some of their ingredients:
- Capric Triglyceride
Derived from coconut oil, it has no proven properties associated to treating under eye issues.
- Hydrogenated Palm Glycerides
Derived from Palm Oil(great, another company helping to destroy rainforests in South East Asia), which is again yet another skin conditioning agent.
This ingredient is used by bodybuilders as it may help to inhibit the release of estrogen and intern increase the amount of testosterone in the body. We’re not sure what skin healing properties it has though so if anyone knows, can they please tell us?
This is a skin lightening compound so it might have some small level of effect on lightening the color under your eyes, however that color is moreso based on the release of blood from the small capillaries and it’s unlikely Niacinamide will have effect on dark circles.
There are many more ingredients but we don’t want to waste your time. As an effective under eye treatment, Revitol Eye Cream is not and there are many better options available.
