Ahh acne. Since the very early days of cosmetics, we’ve been doing everything we can to come up with an all around solution to this problem.
Yet as hard as we try, we just haven’t been able to come up with a way to beat the bumps.
Neutrogena Skin iD is the latest attempt at solving the mystery that is acne management. In this review we’re going to talk about some of the benefits involved in this personalized acne system, as well as offering you advice on where to buy Neutrogena Skin iD for the cheapest price possible.
Let’s break it down.
Now before we get to the good stuff and give you our full detailed review on this personalized acne system, we decided to shoot a quick video to highlight what Neutrogena Skin ID is all about. So click play on this bad boy, will ya?
Our Neutrogena Skin iD Review
Their biggest claim: “2x as effective as Proactiv in clearning acne”. A claim like this is big news for us and basically everyone looking for a path to clearer skin. Surprisingly, it actually shows some promise.
Here’s why: A study was conducted back in 2007 where 3 groups of participants were asked to use different sets of treatment. All of which were kept hidden from the user from the start of the study till the end.
The first group were given Proactiv, the second Neutrogena Skin iD and the third a placebo (a product that had no ingredients associated with acne treatment).
The results were staggering. In the first week the Proactiv group amazingly saw a 10% increase in the amount of acne, whereas the Skin iD group saw a 20% reduction. The trend then continued downwards for both solutions and after 2 months of daily use, the results were:
Proactiv = 25% reduction
Neutrogena Skin iD = 50% reduction
With that being said, we think the reason for the higher reduction needs some explanation…
Neutrogena Skin iD Evaluation
One of the cool things about this product is that they take into consideration different types of skin with their Skin iD Evaluation. With this solution, they’ve designed it in a way where one size doesn’t fit all.
Before you can even get it, you have to run through an online evaluation to determine what type of treatment will work best for you.
For us, this is an awesome idea and it is about time a company started to take notice of the fact that everyone’s skin is different and that while one solution might work on some people, others may not get the same results.
In addition to that, we all don’t get acne in the same places. While some of us may suffer from facial acne, others may suffer from chest or even back acne. Regardless of your target area, Neutrogena can help you. Here’s some of the step-by-step evaluation process:
- Gender and age.
- Type of skin (oily, normal, etc, etc.)
- A selection tool for rough areas on your face.
- Skin tone selection.
- How often do you have sensitive skin?
- The type of acne you have (pictures included)
- Where you mostly get acne.
- How many pimples you have.
- Plus another 9 more questions, which we’ll let you find out for yourself.
This is the only acne solution that is personalized to you, your skin and your lifestyle. Something which we believe will start to become a common practice in the skin and beauty industry over the next few years.
Neutrogena Skin iD Reviews From Actual Customers
As always we spent a whole bunch of time researching around the web, talking to people who’ve tried it out and seen results and we’ve provided some of those customer reviews to you below if you want to check them out quickly:
“My poor 13 year old daughter has been battling acne since she was 9, we tried it ALL! Either it didn’t work, or it tore up her skin and made it all red and irritated. We ordered the Skin ID stuff for her, and after just a few days of using it, her skin is about 90% better already!!!! I am so happy for her!!!!!! So if you’re considering it, go for it! They have a money back guarantee, too.” LunasMomma, yorkietalk.com
Yep that’s right, we found this at a forum for Yorkshire Terrier’s. This may sound a little weird, but the fact that this woman was talking about Skin iD on a forum that had nothing to do with Acne treatment, to us means she must have had a really good reason for wanting to tell her fellow Yorkie fans about Skin iD and how it helped her daughter.
“I’ve been using skinid for about 2 months now…I have REALLY sensitive skin (i used proactive and my face was red and hot to the touch for 2 days after applying it once!!) so I was really nervous about using it. But it really has helped! I’ve still been getting tiny pimples, but they’re a lot smaller than they used to be and go away within a day. I usually moisturize with my old Clean and Clear, just because its always worked so well for me and still has a little bit of the medicine so I feel like it helps all day. I’d say its definitely worth a try!” victorious7, forum.blackhairmedia.com
There’s a lot of people talking about this product and you’ll be hard pressed finding someone who actually hates the stuff and saw no results. Just off public opinion alone, Skin iD are doing very well for themselves.
This, in our opinion, is the future of not only acne treatment but skin care in general. Analysing individual skin requirements before deciding what set of products might work best for the customer, is a great way of ensure less potential side effects, while at the same time offering maximum results.
Although there’s a lot to like about this product, due to the basic ingredients they use in their formula, we couldn’t give it the top spot on our home acne treatment leaderboard, with Zenmed Acne Solutions taking the #1 position.
