Dr. Mercola Skin Care: Who The Heck Is This Guy??

Written by 2 comments

Mercola Skin CareWe’re doing our best to cover as much as we can to cover the best organic skin care lines.

And today is no different because we’re going to be reviewing a line of products that we believe to be one of the most organic available today.

We’re talking about Dr. Mercola skin care, a line designed by Dr. Mercola himself using only natural ingredients to cut down on potential problems associated with cosmetics.

Let’s take a look at his line in this our official Mercola skin care review.

Time For A Break Down!

We feel it’s important to talk about the man behind the brand first, Dr. Mercola to help allow us an opportunity to see whether or not his products are legitimate.

Who the heck is he?

Dr. Joseph Mercola is an osteopathic physician who focuses mainly on natural medication. He’s a pretty popular guy, appearing on all the major US networks, including CNN, ABC as well as The Today Show at one stage.

He’s a huge advocate of natural medication over pharmaceuticals and you don’t have to spend too much time reading his material to realize he knows what he’s talking about.

But what about in regards to skin care?

We’re all for organic skin care, but only if it works. Yes we understand there are many cosmetics that contain potentially harmful ingredients, however we do our best to ensure we don’t recommend those types of products.

USDA certification

We also won’t recommend a product that DOESN’T work.

The biggest pulling factor for Mercola skin care is the fact that they not only say they use organic ingredients, but also back that claim up by being officially certified with the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture).

That means their ingredients have passed the guidelines set to ensure they are 100% organic (grown naturally without hormones etc.)

Right now there hasn’t been a lot of exposure with their products and therefore not a lot of customer reviews, but from the small amount of feedback shown on the large shopping networks like Amazon, most people seem to be relatively happy.

Why It’s HOT!

These products were invented by a fairly respectable source and it’s obvious to tell the ingredients they use are completely organic in every way. We also like how they’ve packaged their products together to cut down on the cost for us the customers.

You can literally get a cleanser, exfoliator, toner, moisturizer, night cream, anti-aging serum and an eye treatment for $162 which is around $20 each, so price is definitely on your side there.

Why It’s NOT!

A couple of reasons. Firstly they have a really crappy return policy. They say it’s a 30 day full money back guarantee, but if you take a look at the small print it clearly states that you can only return an UNUSED product to get your money back.

That means you can’t try out them out first to see if you like the results.

Secondly there’s literally hardly any feedback so far from customers, which means it’s hard to tell how good their products actually are. Until they get more exposure, it’s difficult for us to recommend a line like this over a proven one like Pai Skincare or Organic Surge.

Skin Score!

It’s refreshing to see a doctor come out and talk about some of the problems related to cosmetic skin care, let alone release his own line of organics.

Mercola Skin Care is in our opinion a good, cheap option for those who want to be safe, but at the same time don’t have enough money to spend on the more expensive and more successful brands.

Is it the best? No. But if you can’t afford the best then this is absolutely a solid alternative.

Overall Score: 85%

  • I just ordered the Mercola Skincare because I realized he does have a better return policy now. It not says, 60 days and at least half of product in bottle to get return. Will let you know how it goes.

  • Yeah keep us in the loop Emily and good luck with it :-)
