LifeCell Review: 17 Seconds? Really?

Written by 59 comments

My LifeCell cream review

Aging is a part of life but that doesn’t mean you have to settle for it. I mean, who says we have to look our age at our age?

Instead, I choose to reverse the years of  reckless behavior where I didn’t wear sunscreen, smoked, tugged at my skin, ate whatever I wanted, didn’t drink nearly enough water and sometimes didn’t even take my makeup off after a long day. *cringe*

After all, there is not one thing I love more than seeing the look on someone’s face when I reveal my true age. That reaction alone is worth hundreds of dollars to me.

And I know I’m not alone on that.

LifeCell Review

Thousands upon thousands of women (and men) are now saying “to hell with looking my age!” and are taking matters into their own hands.

Though there is no miracle cure for aging, there are some damn good options these days when it comes to defying age – and all the unsightly wrinkles, dark spots and dulling skin that comes with it!

With that said, is LifeCell the best anti aging cream you can buy? Let’s get into it!

What the Heck is LifeCell?

Pffft, I’m glad you asked! For all my ladies who may prefer to watch instead of read, I shot this LifeCell review video in which I test out LifeCell over 6 weeks and showcase my results throughout the video.

Click play to see what’s up and how it works. Or if you prefer a more detailed review of the cream, keep reading below.

When I first started looking into LifeCell I expected to find another cream that promised to make me look 20 years younger blah blah blah…but be backed by a mix of negative reviews warning customers to not buy LifeCell cream.

That’s why I was so freakin’ surprised when I found mostly positive reviews as well as a wealth of information to back up their skin care promises.

Allow me to elaborate.

Firstly, the primary function of this cream is to immediately reduce the appearance of wrinkles in a significant way. As its claim to fame they mention, you will notice a visible difference in the way your wrinkles look within 17 seconds of applying it to your problem areas.

I know what you’re thinking, because I thought the same thing – “Whaaaat? 17 seconds? No way. Not possible. Get out of here.”

After all, the claim itself is pretty impressive  which is why I was even more fascinated when I stumbled onto evidence to back it up.

So, sit back, relax and rest assured that if you choose to buy LifeCell you won’t be spending money to not notice any changes.

In fact, here’s an example of the results you can expect to notice…

lifecell before and after

Speaking of results, let’s discuss how this one cream can so drastically alter the look of your aging skin.

LifeCell achieves these results by its ingredients reflecting tiny molecules of light away from the tiny cracks in your skin that represent your wrinkles.

You see, the naked eye can’t actually see wrinkles, what we see is the shadow that the wrinkle is casting on your skin. Is your mind blown yet? Mine sure was.

From there, LifeCell works to reflect that shadow making your wrinkles less noticeable.

This is only the first function of what it does for the skin, but it’s something that happens rapidly, and fortunately happens for everyone, because it’s not creating a lasting change in the skin…yet!

In fact, it’s very rare that a user won’t experience this first immediate improvement, which just serves as another plus for this cream, it starts to work right away – making my impatient, results-driven heart happy.

The second and main part of this solution is what it does for damaged skin cells, which as we all know are the long term cause of wrinkles.

By working tirelessly to repair and rejuvenate damaged skin cells, LifeCell causes you to see striking improvements in your photo-damaged skin.

And it doesn’t stop there.

When you buy LifeCell you are actively protecting your skin from future signs of aging, as well as revitalizing your skin, annihilating those stubborn lines and wrinkles, repairing your skin’s firmness and elasticity as well as wiping out those unsightly crow’s feet while plumping up that pout of yours.

Why It’s HOT!

Simply put, this cream works mainly because it’s loaded with a ridiculous amount of antioxidants, water-binding agents, and anti-irritants.

I managed to hunt down some independent and published studies that have proven these anti-aging ingredients are extremely beneficial to reducing the tell-tale signs of aging on our skin.

The cream itself contains active ingredients such as:

  • Dithiolane-3-Pentanic Acid
This ingredient acts as an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant.
  • Ascorbyl Palmitate containing Vitamin C
Helps to promote collagen synthesis and lightening hyperpigmentation.
  • Deanol
Helps to produce acetycholine and causes skin to firm up and the muscles underneath to tone up.
  • Acetyl Hexapeptide-3
Acts as the ultimate Botox alternative without the risk of painful needles.
  • Ubiquinone
Acts as a super anti-oxidant and boosts your body’s ability to produce collagen, elastin, and other important skin molecules helping your skin to look younger, healthier, and wrinkle-free.

Why It’s NOT!

There’s not a lot this cream can’t do when it comes to masking your true age, however if we had to mention something, it would be the price. It’s a little high at $189 for a 2 month supply.

Luckily, you don’t have to pay that. At least not for the first 30 days!

While LifeCell is an investment, no doubt about it, the return you get is immeasurable.

If you long to look as young as you feel. If you crave the quiet self-confidence that comes from loving how you look. If you covet that feeling of leaving mouths agape when you reveal your true age then you can’t afford NOT to take LifeCell up on their 30 day, risk-free trial.

Then, once your 30 days are up, you should have a clear enough picture as to whether or not you’d like to continue with it and at the same time, you’ll only pay $149 from that point onwards as a VIP member.

What Other LifeCell Users Have Said

It’s always best to read a review and hear what other customers have said, instead of just relying on me and my experience.  While scouring for reviews I found most of them to be positive. I have included some of them below.

“I have honestly used just about every cream out there – you name it, i’ve tried it. Even prescription Renova, Retina, Jan Marini, La Mer, Hydroxitone, etc. So so many. have very reactive skin and liked this had such a good guarantee. Pricey, but when you add up all the other products you use -serums, night creams, eye creams, etc., and add into one, its really not that bad. I was amazed at the results. The crows feet that had become a big issue for me, became less apparent to a point they hadnt been since my young twenties. Im 30. My skin hasnt been this smooth and youthful in years. I dont even have to wear makeup, just sunscreen. I know everyone’s skin is different, but something about this product is doing something right. I would recommend and I am sticking with it.”

– Shamari, Shawnee, OK

“I’m not big on making a bunch of noise about a product, whether good or bad. If it works for me, then great. If it turned me three shades of blue, then the makers would get an earful and need to take care of it, but I wouldn’t waste a lot of time trying to be ‘heard’ on a blog somewhere.

However, because the LifeCell cream is on the spendy side, I think some people may want either some assurances of its effectiveness, or some warnings if it didn’t deliver. For me, it worked.

It wasn’t a one-week wonder and instantly make me ready for t.v., but by the time I needed to think about whether to re-order or not, I can definitely say that I am better with it than I was without it.

Hope that helps. “

– B. Savage – Seattle Washington

“I ordered this product and loved it! It was all that I imagined and more. I saw results almost immediately after I started using it and now people are always commenting on how good my skin looks. I recommend this product to anyone that is looking for a quality face cream. “
– N. Lyons

“It’s worth it for me. This is the absolutely only antiaging cream that doesn’t make me break out. It actually has helped heal the acne I had gotten from other products. I use it with my derma roller, and my skin is smooth, firm, and even toned. My skin also doesn’t dry out in the winter, like it used to, except maybe around the eyes.”

– Sarah Brunswick – Oklahoma City

Our Verdict

While there is no one be-all end-all cure for aging, I have personally found LifeCell to be the most efficient and is clearly the best anti aging cream on the market today.

However, when choosing where to buy it, it’s always best to do your price comparison homework. After all, we all want a deal and I like to think of myself as a savvy shopper! I’m sure you are the same.

In this case, fortunately the obvious decision is in fact the easiest and that is to order yourself a risk free trial first before deciding to hand over the cash.

You will have to provide your credit card details, however unlike Hydroxatone, these guys are much better when it comes to allowing you to cancel your subscription easily so you don’t get charged.

Just be sure you do that before your 30 days are up or you run the risk of paying the full amount.

If you do choose to stick with LifeCell, just be sure that you pay no more than $149 for the two month supply. I have heard stories of ladies continually being charged $189 and not receiving the discount, but they were few and far between.

If that does happen to you, make sure you give them a call to have it rectified.

This product is currently our #1 Anti Aging Cream!

  • Lifecell is amazing. A friend gave it to me when she was cleaning out her cabinets. I tried it because my face had dry patches, uneven tone and my 11’s were starting to become bad. A month later my complexion is beautiful. The price is expensive for me but i’m willing to save or forgo other indulgences to buy it.

  • I saw one review in your article that it helped with a users acne. This is a big one for me. I just ordered my free trial but am nervous in using it because i have VERY sensitive skin. Pores clog easily and I also suffer from hormonal acne. Could you tell me if this product helps cure/help acne sufferers? I was happy to see the ladies review that it helped but I need more than one positive feedback regarding acne? Thank you so much!

  • Thanks for writing in Tammy. As far as helping reduce your acne, you will most likely see a reduction in the ‘appearance’, but if you’re looking for the best overall acne solution, you can’t go past one of the kits over at Exposed Skin Care. You can read more about what they provide here – http://besskincare.com/exposed-acne-treatment

  • Hi vanessa, thanks for your reply. I will definately check out Exposed but currently Im in my 2nd week of trying Dermagists Ultimate Clarifying System. Ive saw great reviews about it and thought Id give it a try.

I do however have another question about lifecell. It says it stays on untill washed off. I am an active runner and do other high energy workouts. How does lifecell hold up against sweat?

  • Hey Tammy,

Great to hear you found something that might be working for you :)

As for LifeCell…I would use it at night, that way you have the whole night to let it sink in and do it’s job :)

  • So, I just purchased the LifeCell cream and noticed absolutely no difference to either side of my face while doing the whole 17 second test the ads talk about. I have used it for a few days now, and I am willing to give it a try until I finish the tube.

I will keep you posted as time wears on and if I’m satisfied with the results or not.

  • Please do! I’m very interested in hearing your results a few weeks further into using the cream :-)

    Thanks for the update!

  • Why did you feature a 31 year old with flawless skin to test the product? Her skin was perfect with and perfect without Lifecell.

I am 70 years old and people are always telling me that , “You know, you don’t look 70.”. I can see plenty of lines – crows feet and lines going own the sides of my mouth to my chin. I am looking forward to seeing Lifecell make a change in them.

    Reply
  • Hey Mardee,

Thanks for thinking my skin is ‘perfect’ but I can assure you it’s not. And just because I’m only 31 and don’t have deepset wrinkles doesn’t mean I can’t use the cream to highlight the benefits of filling in the wrinkles I do have. Besides, I don’t have someone around me right now (as we’re overseas) who is over 50 and can review the cream for me.

However, if you are purchasing LifeCell and want to send in your before and after shots I would be more than happy to include them in my review :)

  • Hi Vanesa,

Thank you very much for replying to my email . It sounds like you are seeing good results with LifeCell and I hope that it helps your skin look as good as it does now for a long time.

I would be thrilled if LifeCell can help my crows feet and some of the lines around my chin.

I have ordered LifeCell and I would be thrilled if I have good “after” shots that I can send you.

  • I have read that you can’t wear sunscreen with Life Cell. Is this true? If so wouldn’t the sun exposure cancel the benefits of Life Cell? I love the product but I need sun protection. Help!

  • I bought Life Cell and used for a few weeks. ( 3-4) dint notice a difference. So I bought products from Paula Begoun. The Resist Line. I purchased the whole kit. Cleanse, tone, moisturizer, treatment and serum. Then there a a few things I use once a week, and others that you use daily in the am but a different one in the pm. Sooooo confusing. I think after watching your video I will give my Lifecell another try. Also, I had my Visa compromised and they cancelled it and sent me a new one. Not only that but I lost my job. I was contacted by a Lifecell rep and she offered to let me buy it at 1/2 price!! (Very thoughtful I’d say)

  • Aww that’s so nice of them! Yeah I love LifeCell, they are a really standup company and they make a damn good anti-aging cream :)

  • I TREID to order Lifecell tree times yesterday by calling their customer service #. They have the WORST customer service and after trying three times over the phone, I gave up and purchased it on EBAY. I’m excited to receive it and can’t wait to try it

    Reply
  • Question: Did you try ordering it off their official website? Because I’ve never heard of anyone having any problems when ordering it off their site.

    Reply
  • YES, it was the official website. I am on the Facebook group page and that’s how I got to the webpage . It was 45 minutes of my time wasted on the phone, speaking to an incoherent woman who couldn’t get my address or credit card correct. Then a phone call to a customer service rep who asked me to hold on and then hung up on me. Then they called me back and wanted to start from the very beginning again with my name, address, etc , but with such an attitude. Easier to buy it on EBAY from a Lifecell distributor, at a slight discount of $159 with money back guarantee. I hope I will love the product and I’m excited to receive it… but life is too short for rude and stupid people who work phone lines, so EBAY is a great alternative.

  • well, another great thing about ordering it Sunday online with EBAY is that I got it Tuesday in the Mail with FREE SHIPPING ! SO I have been using it , once last night and once today. I did notice my skin looked great when I looked in the mirror midday. I am optimistic. It definitley gave my fine lines a “blurred out” effect of not being able to see them. Thats the Titanium Dioxide in the cream. I hope to continue seeing good results. I will check back in about a week and let you guys know !

  • Been using LIFECELL for ONE week now. I have to admit, I am pleasantly surprised beyond my dreams! My skin has that nice subtle glow from the light reflecting ingredients, which is a nice start, especially since it is “INSTANT GRATIFICATION”. I am noticing that every day my skin looks a little bit more wonderful. I’m not one who has many wrinkles, just a few fine lines around the eyes/crowsfeet and some forehead expression lines. I am a botox user, so I have always kept the lines at bay so to speak. However, I do have a few lines here and there and Lifecell almost “erases” those lines instantly. Moreover, my entire face has a satiny, smooth look and it feels tighter and firmer. If this cream continuously improves my skin through the use of this whole tube, then they will have a customer for life! We’ll see what happens after my botox wears off. That will be the judgement day for me and Lifecell.

  • I have been using the 30 day trial for a week or so (twice daily) & am breaking out in acne for the first time since I was teenager – this is NOT the rejuvenation I had in mind. Is it a common side affect in the early days? If it continues I will need to cancel/discontinue – how do I cancel so that my credit card is not automatically charged & the product shipped? BTW the price I was quoted for 2 months (if I continue) was indeed $189 (no mention of VIP membership after the 30 day trial)?!

  • Hey Shar,
Sorry to hear that. I haven’t read any accounts of LifeCell causing acne as a side effect. V mentioned that it dried out her skin a little, so she just rubbed a little Coconut Oil over the dry patches.
As far as cancelling goes, you will have to inquire with the official website. Here is their contact email: Support@LifeCellSkin.com.

I have it all packed up ready to go back. Compare an inflated balloon surface to that of a football and that is the difference in my face. It has become “tough”! Is that good??? I’ve used it maybe two weeks. Previous products: Pevonia Botanica & OBAGI elastiderm.
    Help.

  • Hi there, I was a VIP member. I loved the product I’m 55 and saw immediate results, however after a couple of weeks noticed little red blotches on my face. I have always had clear skin my whole life, so this was odd. I stopped and it went away. I tried my cream again and the red blotches came back . I guess I’m hoping to hear that this is just a side effect in the beginning. Any advice ? I have the eye cream and cleanser also.
    Thanx Angie!

  • Hi there,

Well, I’ve been using this product for about 4 weeks now and I have to admit, the results are amazing. I cannot wait to get my first VIP shipment. I did get a little confused (probably my own fault) with the payment for the “free” trial. I should have read the fine print more clearly. Also, you have to be very careful not to use too much at a time. I think I wasted a bunch by putting too much on at once :( Anyway, this is an extremely fantastic product. My neck is much firmer, and my “jowls” have perked up. I will continue to use LifeCell as long as it keeps performing so beautifully. Thank You!

Beware of being charged for what you have not ordered and have not accepted at delivery. I was foolish enough to do the free trial of LifeCell. Not being impressed by the product I left it at that. 2 weeks later, post office tries to deliver a package – I refuse to take it as they asked for $ 80 payment. Sent it back. 4 weeks later, another one arrives, I refuse to take it again. So it goes on months after months. I am thinking eventually they will give up but …. somehow they have now charged my credit card with $ 200 for products I don’t have nor want. Tried emailing, tried phoning – no luck and no return of money. Now put my bank on it…. but all out there… BE AWARE of this companies unethical practises. Don’t deal with them!

  • Hey Karola,
Sorry to hear about your bad experience. When you sign up for the Free Trial you enter Credit Card details and it does state that you will be billed unless you cancel. You have to cancel directly with them. You can find their contact info here. Alternatively you can Live Chat with them from their official website (just click the Live Chat pop up bubble on the right hand side of the website) and they can help you cancel your order and hopefully get your money back.
