Our Hydrolyze Review: What Is All The Fuss About?

Written by 3 comments

HydrolyzeThis week, we’re going to focus on all things under the eye including issues related to; dark circles, fine lines, wrinkles and of course those horrible puffy eyes.

We’re also going to focus on one specific product that’s turning heads in the eye cream market – Hydrolyze – and see if we can break down exactly how effective this particular product really is in comparison to others like Elite Serum and Vivexin.

In this Hydrolyze review, we’re going talk about the following elements:

  1. The quality and purpose of each ingredient.
  2. It’s level of effectiveness.
  3. What other girls are saying about it.
  4. Price comparisons with other under eye treatments.

Before We Get Started

Let’s break Hydrolyze down quickly for those who haven’t heard much about it. This product was designed as a multi purpose cream for the treatment of under eye problems.

It’s main purpose is to decrease the appearance of dark circles as well as the common ‘puffy’ bags that forms around the eyes.

Why do dark circles appear in the first place?

Well, below our eyes we have a lot of tiny capillaries (blood vessels), which are easily ruptured and this usually happens close to the surface of our skin.

Therefore what we’re actually seeing with the dark circles and puffiness is blood that has burst out of these tiny vessels and floats just below a thin layer of skin.

I know it sounds disgusting, but the easiest way to think about it, is it’s just like having a small bruise anywhere else on your body. So apart from looking bad, no serious harm could result from these symptoms.

Hydrolyze eye cream works by strengthening the tiny capillaries below our eyes to help prevent them from rupturing in the future. As well as that, it also has the ability to dissolve the loose blood cells that cause the dark appearance we all hate.

Now let’s find out how this product works.

Hydrolyze Ingredients & How They Work

Dark Circle Before And After

Time to break down the primary ingredients of this under eye cream to help us better determine how effective it actually is on problem areas under the eyes. Annoyingly we weren’t able to find all of the ingredients, however we did happen to find the main active ones.

The first ingredient does the following:

  1. Helps the body digest dead blood cells.
  2. Help strengthen the small capillaries under our eyes.

Hydrolyze have looked to one active ingredient to achieve both of the above aspects of under eye treatment and it’s called Haloxyl. This particular ingredient can actually be bought separately, however the problem with that is it won’t have a delivery method.

Hydrolyze has other ingredients whose purpose it is to deliver Haloxyl below the surface of the skin to where it is needed most, the tiny blood vessels.

Haloxyl is interesting in that is has properties that allow for natural collagen production in the body. New collagen can only mean one thing – thicker, firmer skin.

This leads us to the second ingredient whose purpose it is to remove the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles – Matrixyl 3000

We talked about this in a review we did on Hydroxatone last week, which is a powerful anti wrinkle cream. That kinda gives you an idea as to what this next ingredient is supposed to do.

Yep you guessed it, it’s a form of anti wrinkle technology.

Matrixyl 3000 works to increase the production of collagen by essentially tricking the body into believing there are more dead collagen cells then there actually are.

This then stimulates the body into producing more collagen(a vital compound used in the production of new skin cells) to counteract the problem.

One other thing we noticed in relation to Hydrolyze’s ingredients, is there seems to be a link between this product and it’s sister product, Hydroxatone.

The only noticeable difference is the inclusion of Haloxyl. Without this one ingredient, Hydrolyze would just be a weakened form of anti wrinkle cream.

Does Hydrolyze Work Or Is There A Better Solution?

Again we’ll discuss the two main purposes of this under eye cream and whether or not it achieves anything in relation to them:

  1. It’s ability to remove dark circles or baggyness under the eyes.
  2. It’s ability to remove the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.

Starting off with #1, we mentioned Hydrolyze uses Haloxyl to achieve this goal. The one thing we do know is that this chemical is by far the most powerful way of dissolving dead blood cells and strengthening capillaries.

In saying that, most under eye treatments use this in their formula to achieve the same results.

Therefore it’s all about the level of dilution.

We suspect this cream uses a high degree of Haloxyl due to the speed at which results can be seen in just a couple of minutes.

On the other side of the coin when discussing the second purpose of Hydrolyze to help diminish the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, we suspect this might take a little longer.

From what most experts are saying, the majority of the formula is targeted towards reducing dark circles and puffyness and not towards anti wrinkle.

You’re probably better off going with their other product Hydroxatone or perhaps combining the two together to achieve the best results.

Hydrolyze Reviews: Customer Feedback So Far

Right now there are a lot of mixed reviews. One important lesson we have to keep in mind when doing our research is that people are aggressive online and passive in person.

Also we try to remember the majority of reviews online are negative, due to the fact that people tend only to tell others about their BAD experience, rather then mention anything when they see GOOD results.

With this in mind we always make sure to follow up with the person giving their feedback about their experience, so that we know they’re telling the truth.

Below is a positive review which we found on Amazon. It was worth mentioning because the person actually took the time to test it out properly, only treating one eye so that she could determine if a change had taken place.

What we tend to find when it comes to skincare items, is that the majority of people who say they saw no results had done no comparison test to determine if a change had even taken place. Basing a decision on pure memory alone, isn’t a great idea so that’s why we included this Amazon review…

“I was skeptical. I’ve had dark circles for decades. I used it on one side only so that I could compare. It took over a month to see a difference but the dark circle faded dramatically and the fine lines diminished, which I wasn’t even expecting. It was a noticable improvement over the other eye. My husbands dark circles were worse than mine. He felt it helped a lot..”

Tired Mom, Amazon

The second is yet again from Amazon where the customer saw results initially, but then after a while found it difficult to continue to see the same effects.

We can’t stress to you enough the importance of daily care to naturally help reduce the signs of aging, especially under our eyes.

Products are great in that they tend to help the problem in the short term, but in the end it’s important that we take care of ourselves by eating healthy, moisturizing regularly and most importantly, GET YOUR SLEEP UNDER CONTROL (more on this later in the week).

“I’m not sure what to think of hydrolyze. The first few times I used it I noticed that it had already started to diminish my dark circles and I though “wow this stuff is really gonna work.” but now it seems like it has lost its effectiveness, almost like it helps reduce the dark circles and bags but then it just stops and cant finish erasing them. Another problem I have is this cream is really greasy around my eyes, I put it on at night before bed and when I wake up in the morning it has gotten into my eyes and they sting and are all red. I think I will do some research and find something that has been proven to work better than this.”

Starchelle, Amazon

The next is from someone who says they saw no results. We’re usually a little cautious of posting up negative reviews, but it’s important to get a wide perspective before buying products like this.

The one thing to note in relation to this review and we’ll discuss this next, is that there is a RISK free trial. So if you don’t see any results within the first 30 days, make sure you contact the company on 1800-605-1096 and ask for your money back.

“I saw an ad for Hydrolyze. When I called to order it, got talked into ordering 2 jars. After a month of constant use, I saw no difference in my puffiness (I don’t have the dark circles, so I’m not sure how well it works with that). I called the company and they let me keep the 1 jar because it was a free trial, but let me return the other jar w/o any hassle because of the money-back guarantee. So great company, too bad the product sucks.”

cnlk, Amazon.com

Purely based off the general consensus of the public, Hydrolyze is seen as a mild form of under eye treatment with mixed reviews.

Compared to the leading under eye treatment, which has an approval rate of over 95%, Hydrolyze was barely able to pass the 80% mark of people who saw positive results.

Let’s talk about price comparisons a little…

Price Comparisons & The Risk Free Trial

Before running some comparisons we just want to mention the one great thing about this eye cream – they offer a 30 day risk free guarantee which they do honour without any problems.

That’s the one great thing this cream has over most of its competitors, in that you literally get to try before you buy.

The problem though is the price which is the reason why we didn’t rate it number one on our list of the best eye creams.

If there’s any complaints we would have with Hydrolyze it would be the price at $69.95. However in saying that, there might be something you can do to save some money…

Tip To Help You Save Money

There’s rumors floating around about discounts being made available AFTER the first 30 days. If you’re happy with the results after 30 days and wish to continue, we recommend giving them a call and asking about a possible discount.

The fact of the matter is the price is a little high for a product which delivers in our opinion, far less results the compared to the best eye cream which is priced at even less.

Even if you can’t get a discount, there’s no harm in trying right?

Our final verdict on Hydrolyze would be that it does provide results fairly rapidly in terms of removing dark circles. However over time most people tend to see a plateau in the effects this cream has on them, eventually

In a nutshell, Hydrolyze provides short term solution to dark circles. Which is why we simply couldn’t include it in our list of the top under eye creams. Awwwkward.
