And With 2013 Comes Change

Written by 4 comments

Home sweet homeIf there is one thing I love, it’s change. To me there is nothing better than a fresh start, a new chapter, and changing up one’s life. And that’s exactly what I have done.

As I write this I am sitting on my balcony in Koh Tao, Thailand.

My husband and I decided that we wanted to kick off married life in style and live the life we have always wanted to live – a minimalistic lifestyle on a tiny island in the middle of nowhere.

Seeing as we work online there was nothing holding us back from finally following through on a dream we have had for years, and so we decided to stop just talking the talk and actually take that first step.

But that’s not the only change, oh no, there is much more going on in BES land!

Thanks to you, our amazingly supportive and totally f**king awesome readers, we are expanding. That means a whole new look to the site (debuting shortly) and our first employee – Sabrina.

Sabrina is one hell of a savvy chick with a kick ass sense of humour, a passion for all things DIY, and better grammar skills than I could ever hope to have! She will be helping out around these parts managing our social media profiles and writing some posts.

I’m still going to be on the site but it’s time that we amp things up around here and well, I just can’t do it alone anymore. Besides, they have 2 for 1 happy hour here and I plan on taking full advantage of it so I needed someone responsible enough to keep cranking out the content!

So make sure you say hi to her on Twitter, Facebook, or even by leaving a comment below this post. And as always, thank you all SO much for reading, watching, and sharing my posts – it means more to me than you know!

Sawadee Ka (that means hello/goodbye in Thai)!

  • Your website rocks! (Josh, your wife was right you should give yourself more credit)! Love the design of your product ratings section and how you place it at the end of the post after you deliver a ton of good content.

Just watched one of your videos Vanessa and was cracking up, you are hilarious!

You guys make a killer team and you’re gonna tear it up out here in Thailand for sure. Stay in touch and if you ever head to BKK be sure to let me know.

    Cheers,
    Bryce
